Samahang Magkakape sa Lipa

Barako like you've never had it before! This two-bean blend of Liberica (coffea liberica var. liberica) and Excelsa (coffea liberica var. dewevrei) is named for a farmer's cooperative in Lipa, Batangas comprised of over 250 small holders.

Helmed by chairperson Arnold Malbataan, this group aims to spread awareness about these low-grown coffee varieties that may be the key to a sustainable coffee future. This Liberica-Excelsa isn't officially graded, but is well-sorted, clean, and free of major defects.

We roasted this coffee a bit lighter than the average. While you will get woodsy notes reminiscent of this species, you can also expect some fruit acidity and a surprisingly refreshing mouthfeel!
